Review by hotel critic
As a French epicurean, my stay at Gramont was a delightful immersion into the culinary wonders of the region. Nestled in the heart of a charming town, the hotel positions you perfectly to explore the gastronomic delights that surround it. Strolling along the boulevard, I found myself captivated by the panoramic views of the majestic mountains and the old district teeming with quaint restaurants. One evening, I dined at one of the recommended spots, Le Dragon Rouge, a mere stone's throw away. The experience was a symphony of flavors orchestrated by the talented chef, reminiscent of the expertise that graces the kitchens of Gramont. The dishes were exquisite, a true ode to local ingredients and traditional French techniques.Although the breakfast at the hotel was a bit pricey with a limited buffet selection, the culinary experience at Gramont more than made up for it. Every bite was a revelation, showcasing the chef's mastery in creating dishes that not only tantalize the taste buds but also celebrate the rich gastronomic heritage of the region.Gramont indeed places its guests at the epicenter of a gastronomical paradise, surrounded by not just restaurants but a vibrant tapestry of shops and bars. For a connoisseur of fine dining like myself, this hotel is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. A must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and immersive culinary experience in the heart of France.
